What are the dimensions of that space? I think you have room for at least two chairs with a table between them in the corner. To minimize blocking the light you might go for low backed swivel chairs, or chairs with open backs (like caning) and lighter colors.

4 comfortable upholstered chairs facing each other with a round area rug underneath would get you what you want.

I'd get some natural furniture and a light patterned area rug, treat it like a sunroom.

You could look at doing 4 chairs around a round coffee table or ottoman. You could also look at floating a sofa facing the windows on a rug, with two chairs facing the sofa. See visuals included below:
