Your rug is fabulous! The chair will look great with it & the other colors in the room. I like that the chair color is darker than sofa & the other chair in pic.

@ilikefriday Thanks, but actually I want both chairs. The green one would go in the foreground of the photo, facing the short side of the coffee table.

Both chairs will look awesome. The problem is my elementary Photoshop skills. I would have to rotate the chair to show the back in your current photo. I took the easy way out.

I am going to say "no". It is too heavy looking for your scheme, particularly, the underside. I like what you have done with the space...except for the window treatment. Try nothing on the window, making the window look even bigger.

The red/orange in the rug is a winner. How about some pillows and art to work with it?

Thanks, @elcieg. The art will come, as noted. The window frames are really ugly. I'm not leaving them bare and I like the curtains. I'll think about the weight of the chair. It's going to be in the open area to the right of the couch so it might be OK. But I saw something less bulky in a similar color that is also on the my short list.

Why do you need another chair? From your photos all looks great...except for some art and different throw pillows. The rug is driving the bus....love it.

The chair is shaped like the old dryer chairs in beauty salons. i agree the color is great but shape of chair is IMO not best, it is too heavy looking.

@elcieg I want another chair because I could use additional seating when we have family and friends over. And when my dad visits I think he'd have the easiest time getting in and out of an armchair. This is the other chair.

@HU-570180435 I like the chair, but yeah, maybe it needs to be paired with bulkier furniture to work.

The first chair is low sitting with narrow arms — not too bulky.

The second chair is nice, too.

I’d go with whichever is most comfortable.

Olive green will look great in here and I've always liked that CB one that is your first choice. Look up the seat height to be sure it is high enough for your dad to get out of comfortably. (Just shopped for seating for my arthritic parents to sit in when they visit.) .The second one you posted doesn't look comfortable for getting out of.

This one has a 21" high seat and good arm height. Arhaus. Don't know if the brass is what you are going for though in your space.

@Kendrah, thank you. I sat in both chairs at the store and found them comfortable, the CB especially so. That's a beautiful chair you suggested but I don't want brass.

I cannot think of a better color or fabric to add to your beautiful room. Whether it’s this chair or that chair, or another chair, olive green velvet will be beautiful in your space.

I actually think the one with that touch of brass would be perfect I do not think the fist chair would be easy to get out of BTW.
