Painted Concrete Floor is Peeling

last modified: 2 years ago

The unfinished part of our basement has a concrete floor that was painted before we bought the house and we have no idea what kind of paint was used. We recently had a leak into that section of the basement and now all the paint is lifting up and crunchy under foot. What is the easiest way to fix this situation? It's quite a large area. We don't need a pretty floor - epoxy not needed. The floor is in otherwise good shape, the leak has been repaired and we don't think lead paint is involved. The house is 30 years old. Thanks for any ideas you may have.
