They look like doctored photos.

It’s almost certainly photoshop’d. I’ve seen the bottom right photo on Web sites advertising blue and black roses for sale which are also obviously photoshopped since no such roses exist.

A lovely specimen from the often lusted after, but elusive Photoshop Collection, to be sure.

Just did an image search. The ebay page for these "purple hybrid tea" rose seeds (and to be fair, the smaller images do appear to be heavily doctored HT's, though not the image of the climber) also offers "10 Rare rainbow rose seeds," and "20 SEEDS for Navy Blue RARE rose hybrid tea flower."

Wow... Quite the impressive cultivar, this purple rose has appropriate climates listed as everything from Tundra, to Tropical wet and dry, and Mediterranean, and everything in between. It grows in soil types "chalk, clay, loam, peat, sand, and silt." Apparently, however, they have it listed as an annual in the genus Solanum, and it's region of manufacture is Australia.

...Seriously. All of that is on the same sales listing. And it could be yours for the low price of GBP 3.27.

No idea how EBay permits these charlatans maintain their listings. (Remind me never to shop eBay.)

Garden Mist, unfortunately the rose cannot naturally express blue, or a true purple color, and purples (mauves) are often more of an illusion created through a combination of pigments. For someone who is not overly familiar with roses, this fantasy would be an enticing one, and Diane's view's notwithstanding (tell us how you really feel, Diane! ;-) ) it would probably sell quite well.

Those photos are totally faked. The two on the right are especially conspicuous: Photoshop fakery; about as legit as those "rainbow roses" they sell on fleabay. Run away.

Diane, please don't hold back. I feel like you're going easy on us with these thoughts. :-)

I had that funny feeling they were photoshopped. As the old saying goes "if it looks too good to be true....lol

@Garden Mist, but the pictures do not even look good. The color is way off and unpleasant.

Since this one is a 'FAKE' - I've decided to purchase EBB TIDE, at least it is real. haha

I bought Ebb Tide last year from Heirloom. going to get a Twilight Zone next month from HCR. Very excited. Yeah at least they are real AND fragrant🌹

And no one even commented on the fact that the website is offering SEEDS of the rose!
