First is this working FP? It appears to be wood burning but not sure . Are there plans for an insert? Please post photos for your inspiration here in comments DO NOT start another post on this subject.Not sure what you mean by curve but usually not a modern look.

I don’t know if this matters to you, but I wanted to point put that the holes in your ceiling (for recessed lights?) don’t appear to be centered on the fireplace.

I voted for Option #1, but that's just my personal taste. It really depends on what your plans are for decorating this room.
