Hosta Leaves 2023 .......

I have sunburn on my nose. I just looked in the mirror after 2 days outside and my nose shows promise. For me this looks like a normal spring. For some of you, you actually had warmer weather than I did here. My hostas are popping, and the daylilies are scaping and life is good.

I do a fashion show everyday now. It requires 3 outfits per day: cool, warm, warmest back to warm to cool again. The hosta also puts on a fashion show with leaves. Always changing always color full. Let's have a fashion show of leaves today:

I can stop and stare at some leaves just looking at their beauty. Neighbors probably think I am nuts.

Oh no here she goes again. Do you turn it over? Trust me.

I feel for Tim.

San Francisco vertigo.

Comments: paula, I took a picture of the car with my phone and then turned it….what an amazing shot! I laughed at the UFO joke and the San Fran picture is also awesome! Your Zounds has a great puckered leaf and So Sweet ( Sun Hosta?) has a lovely yellow margin.

Hosta_maker, I want all of those hostas! The blushers are awesome and the striped leaf hosta reminds me of Dorothy Benedict!

I am still trying to get over vertigo. Boy you would want to get your brakes checked all the time!

hosta_maker all beautiful! Is the streaker stable?

    Paula terrific leaf on SS!

Gorgeous Debra! I have been holding Inniswood in a pot for over a decade. You have inspired me to get it planted. Where is the problem lol!

Pieter KK gone wild. Almost like Captain's Adventure. Great shot of Albopicta.

Debra I took so few leaf shots, most of mine are cropped.

Pieter, your Katherine Lewis reminds me a bit of Ambrosia. I think if the Captain Kirk pip with that different leaf becomes stable for you….then call it AWOL! 😂😂

Peren, let me say my favorites: Dinner Mint (reminds me of a tiny Paradise Joyce), Powder Blue, all those lovely bumps, can’t wait until my Winter Snow looks like yours, Fingerprint (wowed by that blue), Riviera Sunset (which I ordered because of your beauty) and the King (what is not to love about those colors?)

It's been a few years since I took specific leaf pictures. Will try to remember next year.

Peren that streaker is galaxy, it stays streaked longer than most. all streakers need the stable eyes cut off eventually. its a constant back and forth.

Peren, didn’t mean to skip over your vertigo…. Know someone who suffers from it too. I understand it’s aweful! Have you ever tried the treatment I think chiropractors (or is it body workers?) do to help relieve that? I know it was helpful for my friend and once when my husband had an episode, a woman who does energy work and massage fixed it. Whatever, I hope you get over it soon. 🙏🏽

Hosta_maker, interesting what you said about cutting out stable eyes in streakers….my Rainbows End has never had a stable eye come from it…. I’ve had it quite a while now.

Ann, isn’t the color on ADG just beautiful? Your Firn Line misted quite a bit, but still looks cool!!

Ann dramatic seasonal change on Firn Line. I agree with Debra, ADG does have lovely colour.

Debra that is interesting. I generally just try to avoid heights lol. If I am leaning against a building or whatever on a ladder it is easier. On a free standing ladder anything over 3 steps and I start to feel vertigo kicking in. Who would have thought it could be helped or eliminated, not me. Thank you!

debra..thanks..I wonder if shade is what blues love?..but it’s a dilemma because some sun helps them grow..

Laurie..Firn Line is the weirdest hosta I own!..wonder how it’ll look in 2024?..as long as it isn’t diseased I’ll let the funny little thing stay..
