A 500K plan would surely have a better kitchen, and a better location for the stairs than than. Stairs connect spaces and are part of the flow optimization. That's placed like you are ashamed of the connection. Plus, I doubt the landing is going to end up meeting code as designed.

It's hard to give advice with so little to go from but based on what you've shown us I might just having the door to the powder room not open directly into the kitchen but open to the right instead
