New GE Oven Smell

We purchased a new GE gas range two months ago. As expected the first few times we used the oven there was a strong chemical smell. It somewhat decreased since then but it is still noticeable when you are very close to the oven. We tried to clean it (including clean cycle) but it persists. Is it expected from a new oven? Maybe we got used to our older 10yo oven smell and each oven has some smell? Other than the vendor, which professional can we ask to provide us an objective evaluation? Thank you!

From the GE PGB935YPFS User Manual:
- Problem: Strong “burning” or “oily” odor emitting from the vent
- Probable cause: This is normal in a new oven and will disappear in time.
- What to do: To speed the process, set a self-clean cycle for a minimum of 3 hours. See the Cleaning the Oven section. This is temporary.

thanks! but our model does not have a self clean cycle. it has steam clean which didn't help. do you know how I can speed up this process, or how long until it naturally disappears?

Would also like to know an answer or others’ experiences. I have a new Wolf wall oven that still smells quite a bit even after running it at the recommended temp and time several times.
