Is it time to apply Preen to lawn in Baltimore?

Want to get rid of weeds before they happen. But with this warm winter, many weeds are already out. I have a bad infestation with groundsel in the front lawn. I sprayed the other day with Bonide's weed killer. It seems to have ruined groundsel's day, they are withering, but what about the other weeds? Should I apply Scotts turfbuilder that feeds and kills weeds as well?

Groundsel is an annual. If you mow regularly before it flowers it will die. It also prefers bare patches with disturbed soil. It rarely thrives in a thick lawn. However, it can produce viable seed if it has flowered, even if you have killed the plants. So weedkiller won't necessarily eradicate it.
