Faux plants with lights collect as much dust as any other object in a room.

No where that you could just put one lamp? The overhead lighting seems very harsh. The headboard is up against drapery. Is that glass or a wall behind it? And is that a door in the wall to the right of the bed? What is the little white “thing” where a door knob might be? a lock? Or?
Without seeing the rest of the room, it’s hard to tell what’s going on…. And I’m wondering if the bed could even go on a different wall. And, it really isn’t a big deal to dust a wall lamp or sconce once and awhile. Faux plants need dusting, too!

behind the bed is a window . there is no other wall to put bed and I love my headboard so that definitely stays. the white thing on wall is just a command hook thing I need to remove from something that was there. to left of bed is closet opening that spans a good distance down wall and on foot side of bed there is a bathroom door. and yes my over head fan light is awful cheap LED. plants need dusting too but at least I don't have to deal with ugly cords and that type of clutter. I just can't figure out what to do

Couldn’t you put a small bedside table against the wall on the right side of the bed, in the corner? You could put a lamp on the bedside table or put a modern-style swing arm type wall light/sconce above the bedside table? Most wall-mounted lights will have a metal piece covering the cord from the wall lamp down to about 6” above the floor, so behind the beside table, so the cord doesn’t show. (Don’t know where you have wall plugs, though.). Could the small lighted cabinet in the picture be moved to another place in the room? And/ or put a lamp on it? Two small “tables” would be too close together. Or possibly, instead of a bedside table, find a modern-looking floor lamp with a built in “table top”. Or use just a floor lamp there or elsewhere in the room? A floor lamp will give you some softer ambient light.

Sorry, but the fabrics in your room will hold and expel more dust than any lamp or light fixture imaginable . Not to mention the dog. Consider another project.

I feel like you must have had lamp trauma at sometime in your life. Where are the outlets located in your room?

thank you for the floorlamp suggestion! that never even crossed my mind. as far as the comment about my fabrics holding dust.....I dont think that's much possible since they all get laundering once a week since I have pets but thank you for your kind words.
