We're considering purchasing a home and studio on a beautiful wooded slope in the Gulf Islands of Western BC. We love the rustic style of the weathered cedar studio and the extensive wood finishings on the interior of the home, but the exterior of the home is unappealing. It seems boring and conventional compared to the style of the studio and the home interior. The siding is wood and in great shape, but we're considering painting/staining and perhaps updating or painting the soffits and planting some small trees in front of the house. Would love other ideas!
If we paint, I was thinking a dark green with black trim may add more depth and interest and be a better contrast with the studio. I've included a few inspo photos.
