Pool orientation - perpendicular VS parallel

Hi ,

What are your thoughts on the pool orientation based on the attached pics. We like the perpendicular (pic 1) because it gives an elegant view of the pool from the L/R windows and also provides more room on the sides for lounge chairs and social gathering. The parallel one cuts across the L/R windows which will make it hard to see everyone in the pool when viewing from the L/R eindows. Pool is the red line. sorry for the poor pool rep. Thank you.

Why are you asking if you like one better than the other ? IMO too little info to help like what is going around the pool for decking is there slopes to keep you from doing certain things . From what I see I would do the parallel one but not info for real advice. Waht is the reason for seeing this from the LR at all?

Either one can work! Depends on how you want to arrange your outdoor patio and what other activities need to take place in the yard (kids play area, dog run, veg garden, etc)

Also what is the location? In FL your year round views of the pool are pretty much the same ... not so much, if the pool is in the northeast and needs to be covered for the winter, which won't be such a nice view from your living room!
