So my windows were installed for a 3/4 thick wood siding. The intention was to double strap for proper airflow.

Now, only one vertical strapping was installed, 3/4 thick and wood siding was chaged to canexel.

My question is should I remove all strapping then reinstall doubled (crosshatch like), or can I just slap on another vertical strapping to have my canexel arrive at the windows properly?
