My favorite bulb suppliers haven't updated their lists for 2024 yet. I'm jealous that you can already see yours :(

Yeah, fall isn't here yet for us either. But there have been some upticks in spring. Bagged and small box stuff in the big box stores seems to have gone up again. Something that was 4-5.99 a few years ago has shifted through the buck+ to .59 point and this year is up again and back to the .99 point. Larger potted stuff has gone up several dollars over the last few years.

Must be Canadian prices :-)) 25 camassia bulbs from my favored supplier are $9.00 at 2024 pricing.

I haven’t really done any serious ‘bulb shopping’ since I discovered a wholesale place in the middle of the pandemic. One of the YouTube channels I follow did a recent video on some of the sticker shock prices she has seen recently, and she’s in Michigan. Look at this one for a pot of forest grass!

Wow, that is horrendous! EVERYTHING has gotten so expensive, right? Especially at the grocery store, but plants for gardening and garden products, I've noticed too are increasing.

I've already started to consider that I need to refocus my efforts on growing from seed, propagating and taking cuttings, dividing bulbs to increase, saving potting soil from one year to the next. Making more compost. Going to plant swaps. We used to have a local one of Gardenweb members once a year but we haven't had one in years.

I am glad I am not just starting out.

I want my favorite small nurseries to stay in business so I'm still buying but I'm making careful lists and sticking to them. No impulse purchases.
