Ceiling light shade too small for 2 bulbs(pics in comments)

Hi there!The light fixture on my small basement ceiling can only accommodate one bulb, but the room was too dark, so I bought a ‘single to double socket adapter’ and installed it. Then the existing glass lampshade didn’t fit. Is there a good/easy solution?

For the price of the adapter you could have bought a fixture that has two bulbs. Swapping out a fixture like that is straightforward after watching one YouTube video.

You can buy a 27 watt LED bulb which is equivalent to a 200 watt incandescent bulb!

Hallet&Co. Thanks for your opinion! I already know how to install light fixtures as I've chaned kitchen ceiling lights and installed a chandelier in my dining room.

Anyways I ended up buying a 13-inch shade from IKEA and installed it. The converter was $5, and the shade was about $16 including tax. It would have been hard to find a light fixture for $20🥲

wdccruise, thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately I already bought smart bulbs and wanted to use them. I ended up getting an affordable shade from IKEA.
