I will be changing out the newel post to be more up to date in style but for the balusters and railings what should I do? Trim in house is getting replaced to white, walls are SW Snowbound and other accents are black. New flooring is shown at the bottom of the stairs. Should I paint everything black and leave existing balusters? Paint everything white and switch spindles to a black rod iron with a different design ? I can't decide. The house is a colonial so want to stick with a more modern colonial design.
