Good to hear from you, being reminded of your Rose Rosette Disease horrors of last year, and what you had to endure...yet you are still in roses speaks well of your sticktoitiveness.

I do not think your Louise Clements is alive at all. By now it should have at least pushed up some basal growth. I would very carefully, by hand, pull back the mulch and soil around the bush's crown and look for signs of growth, then report back here with photos of what you discovered. Again, good to hear from you.

Glad to be back. I still many roses in my garden. As of now, there is more infected roses with RRD, but it is still too early.

It is strange that this rose has died. We didn't have a harsh winter last season and all own-root roses started to have grow leaves.

It is still under warranty through Heirloom. I will submit a claim in this case.

Louise Clements is out of stock at Heirloom right now, Omar. I do not know what next steps you will take, but whatever you do as far as a replacement rose goes, please make sure it is black spot resistant/proof. That will make life much easier for you.

The German rose breeder Kordes sells an excellent line of very hardy healthy roses. They are designated so by the ADR abbreviation which they receive if they pass rigorous trials in many test gardens throughout Germany. Not all Kordes roses pass the test, so they cannot be awarded the ADR recognition. Just a select number of Kordes roses pass the ADR trials. Other rose breeders enter their roses in the ADR trial, big rose breeders like Meilland, Noak, Tantau.....are also awarded ADR on their roses that successfully pass the trials.

Look for the ADR award printed somewhere on the tag of a rose for sale at a nursery. Ask if the rose has been awarded this high standard before you buy it.

I being a hopeful sort would plant it in a pot and see what happens. Is it own root !

I recommend Earth Angel as a replacement from Heirloom, if that's what you want instead of a refund. It's listed as in stock. Very fragrant, ADR winner, spotless foliage, however the blooms can get stuck opening up in wet weather...still a great rose. I've had mine about 7 years...it was slow establishing, but very worthwhile.

Another recommendation is Bliss Parfuma, ADR winner, moderate fragrance, foliage is black spot free, and also in stock at Heirloom now. These roses, although not ADR winners, should be, they are: Quietness, Pinkerbelle, and South Africa.

My roses here 5-6 hours away from you broke dormancy early to mid March...hummmm...Best of luck Omar.... I like to plant Heirloom roses in May instead of the fall...

@Moses, Pittsburgh, W. PA., zone 5/6, USA Heirloom approved a store credit. I will look at Earth Angel but I don't want something that takes years to bloom. Many of their roses are currently out of stocks.

@jim1961 / Central Pennsylvania / Zone 6 Heirloom had a discount last August, so I bought 6 roses. They all broke dormancy except Louise Clements but I agree with Moses. I think it is dead already. I am looking for a new replacement.

Only one rose I would like to buy from Heirloom is Impressionist. May be some day, not this season.
