Appliance Recommendations

About to start a major kitchen remodel, but there are so many different appliance options on the market today! Top of the line/professional products are easier to identify. I’m looking for quality and longevity without breaking the bank. Would love to hear which appliances have been rock stars in your kitchens! Here are the items I’m looking to purchase:

36” Gas cooktop
36” Refrigerator
24” Dishwasher
30” Double Oven

Very happy with my LG fridge and Bosch dishwasher that I've had for eight years. Just bought another Bosch at a second home and will buy an LG fridge there too. I bought a Wolf gas cooktop at a previous home but once I discovered induction I will never have gas again. I recently purchased a Bosch induction cooktop for the second home.

I've had no problem with that but my Bosch dishwashers don't vent steam. There may be some models that do but the three I have do not.

We recently bought appliances in the exact same sizes. We went with Kitchenaid, but they haven’t been installed yet to confirm whether they’re any good.

Miele or Bosch for dishwasher. I have Miele in both houses (one is almost 10 yrs old), and both are fabulous. I know a lot of people with Bosch dishwashers and they love them.

You might want to look at 36" induction cooktops, along with gas ones. I love gas, and have a 36" BS gas range in one house. For our new house, we went with a 36" induction cooktop. It is amazing! People on these boards who rave about induction are absolutely right. Induction is better than gas, and we are so happy we opted for it.

Bosch dishwasher, LG fridge.

Consider induction instead of gas, if you haven't already -- they offer all the control of gas, but with less fire, fumes, and heat. Also greater safety.

Stay away from LG and Samsung fridges. LG is still having problems with their compressors and Samsung fridges seem doomed to early failures as well.

My LG fridge in a previous home was going on 9 years without a problem (when I moved to my new place), and my current LG fridge in my new home is 5 years old and problem-free.

Yeah, my LG fridge is also doing well after eight years. When I researched refrigerators to decide what to buy I found that every brand has some bad reviews and some good. People I know have personally had problems with KitchenAid and GE refrigerators. I finally just quit obsessing over it and bought one that had the features I wanted at a reasonable price and got an extended warranty that I never used other than to threaten the local appliance company that didn't install the doors correctly. That got me an LG authorized repair person to get the job done right.

Maybe you'll also need a wine cooler or beverage refrigerator? Ca'Lefort is a great choice.
