Flooring Color to Replace Carpets

Have to replace carpet & decided on laminate or vinyl plank which now means I have to replace other rooms too(excluding kitchen/baths)

Have been looking for something that doesn’t have a rustic look or a ton of variation, possibly brown & blonde?

I’ve endlessly looked online but all the houses look new & much nicer than ours. Also, I detest the current paint & plan on something lighter and neutral. Appreciate any suggestions or specific colors!
