Does anyone love this as much as I do ?

last year

Fabulous. I was looking for images of living rooms with sage green sofas and yellow/gold walls - because that is now the scheme I am working on; and I stumbled upon this space. I love it. :) If you love it, too, please chime in. If you don’t love it, feel free to vote.

Also, if you have any pics of living rooms with yellow/gold walls and sage green sofas, please share.

Thank You.

Yes, I love it, too.
No, it is not my cup of tea.
I don’t know whether I like it or don’t like it.
.I have no idea why I’m here.

    Hi, Diana. Thank you! :)

It’s basically half that price for the two chairs. The chairs are $337 for the pair, and I think the shipping to NYC is about $700 - so it is really amazing! I was seriously considering them- color scheme aside - because they are just so gorgeous. I thought maybe I could use them in the dining room, which I don’t really plan to use as a dining room, anyway. But I’ve decided not to get them, so just put them up for others who may be interested.

Grey is pretty much off the table for LR. I ended up with the beige/cream colored sofa. I have one black and white damask pillow on it, so far. :)

I just checked the shipping again and it would be 800 and change for in home delivery in December sometime (that is from France to NYC). The 2K delivery quotes are for more expedited shipping.

On a magical mystery tour. :)

Wanted a touch of pink for my bath, and bought this poster from Etsy.com Seller:

Then, was looking around for images and info regarding Henry Matisse’ “La Gerbe“ -and stumbled upon this Australian site, Australian company:

Lo and behold - they have my black and gold. :)

Well... I just tried to order the mug, and apparently Company does not ship to US! :(

Fortunately, I have an Australian passport.

I don't know how many peacocks are too many peacocks...

I love peacocks. And I have been considering various peacock art pieces for new place. Have been pretty set on a gorgeous peacock painting - from Etsy Seller. And now, I just spotted this ”Maximalist Hollywood Regency” piece... also from an Etsy Seller.

I love it. Plus, I have yellow gold walls... So I think I may really have no choice but to get this one.

Would love to find a non-alcoholic/vegan friendly kahlua similar to this, here in US. I’m looking.

The bar cart! Makes me think of the crystal canisters with booze, the ice bucket, fancy glasses sitting in the corner of the living room. Now with all the built-in bev centers and open floor plans, the poor bar cart is lost! I love that article on how they are being repurposed - great ideas.

You’re lucky you still have the turntable and albums, Debbi! That is so great! Vinyl is the original and is state of the art as far as recording goes, and it is very much back! I have a few records, and have been wanting to get a player and build back a collection. Was planning on getting a vintage style type cabinet for that. In the meantime, I have a ton of CD’s!

I thought about a bar cart to multipurpose for my small seating area in new place, and thought about just putting some type of music player on that. So I’ve been looking around at various ideas.

    Here’s another fun one.

This is the bar cart I”ll be using.

I think it will be very versatile.

So I found this peel and stick wallpaper that I love and thinking of maybe doing something with it in my place. I am wondering if I can maybe use it as a backdrop for a large black and white photo I’m hanging. Photo will have a black frame.

At any rate, I cannot I get over these amazing design setups - on Amazon.

    Genius stuff.

Thank you, Friday!!!!! Those look fantastic!! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. 🙏🏼

That dining table and those orange chairs are fantastic! And the bar cart!! Did you see my comment the other day? Can you believe that people are actually opting out of bar carts?? I know we had that discussion way up thread about displaying the beautiful decanters and liquor bottles -even though neither one of us drinks!

You totally picked up the vibe of the photo I’m hanging up. It is very similar. I love Billie Holiday and Ray Charles. Now we’re talking.

I love that black and white table. If you zoom in it's actually a tablecloth. Tablecloths are typically not my thing but I do love this look. It makes he want to try one.

I don't drink at all but have a ton of liquor that my dh occasionally cooks with. I have it displayed on a shelf in my kitchen. Right beside the liquor is dh's spot for a huge jar of kefir grains soaking in milk. I'm always afraid that it is going to explode all over the liquor bottles.... I like the look of the carts above.

I think the wallpaper will look great with your photograph.

Your renderings are totally incredible, Friday. Beyond brilliant.

I only added the black and white pictures. I grabbed the rest off of advertisements for the wallpaper.

I just saw your reply, Friday. Now I see the table cloth, I missed it at first, too. So chic. Definitely worth trying! And it’s funny, I was originally thinking of some orange dining chairs for the space!

You’re lucky your husband cooks. I LOVE a man who can cook. It was my model growing up... because my Father was really an amazing chef, and he retired when I was about 9 years old and he did most of the cooking in the house. So later, when I got involved with men who didn’t know how to cook, I really thought they were retarded. 😂

I’m looking for non-alcoholic ‘spirits’ now. Particularly kahlua type, which waaaay back in the day, kahlua and cream was my favorite. There are also non-alcoholic options that come in beautiful bottles.

There are some nice ideas for repurposing bar carts in the Forbes article I posted. I am going to be multipurposing one for the small seating area. It should be here in a day or two, I think. I ordered it from Nathan James. It’s a new offering for them, and my first time ordering from this company!

So we’ll see. I think it’s going to be versatile and useful.

Doesn't matter Friday! YOU found the wallpaper ads and put it all together!! PLUS the black and white photos you chose could not be MORE ON POINT!!! THAT is EVERYTHING!!! I’m amazed by these images.

    Thank you, again.

My friend wanted a little bar area in here house so bad, but they did not drink, so she made a snack/candy bar! Beautiful decanters with M&Ms, Swedish fish, Lifesavers, mini candy bars and even granola bars in rectangle containers with silver spoons or ice cube grabbers. There were martini glasses so you could take some and have a snack in a fancy way! On a separate shelf she even had some decorative tins with treats and catnip for her 2 cats. It was only about 20" wide but everybody talked about it.

That is a great idea! So much fun!! And you can use any sweets you want and tailor the presentation any way you want to. I love that idea!

I thought, This gives a whole new meaning to the ’candy bar’. :)

Then I decided to Google ”candy bar“ - and apparently it’s a thing!

I love it. Could do fruits, too. Cherries would be great. And various nuts, etc.

Those are so pretty and yummy looking too! Kind of like Dylan's Candy Bar.

But I love the fruit and nut idea even better--healthier.

    Hi, njmomma! Thank you! :)

I would be grazing all day, too! And that is what I am afraid of - because I am now already going down this rabbit hole!

I found this Biscuit Box and I am thinking about getting it to keep on the cart along with a decanter or two, etc.

I don’t want to load up the cart too much because I want to have space available on it. But I‘ve been wanting to get some carob for a while and so I might get some of that and some nuts for the biscuit box. I don’t know how long that stuff will last, though! I will really have to discipline myself! :)

Thank you, Diana! And I agree, I like to go with healthy options, when I can. I’m a vegan for many years and I try to get the best of whatever it is. If it’s chocolate - good chocolate, etc, etc. Not just a pile of sugar and whatever else.

I think state of mind might be the most important factor with health, overall. Although you can’t rule out diet completely. Also different things work for different people!

  • PRO

True freedom, but actually, refined sugar is probably the worst thing you can eat. Not to say that I don't partake. But the problem isn't candy/cake/cookies as much as it is the added sugars in foods you wouldn't think would have them--salad dressings, ketchup, commercially prepared potato salad and cole slaw, etc. It's a constant battle at the grocery store. Reading labels is a MUST!

freedomplace1 thanked Diana Bier Interiors, LLC
  • 8 months ago

Yes, white refined sugar is an issue. I opt for other sweeteners whenever possible, myself. And yes, I am very familiar with reading labels for that, as well as for any number of other things. I‘ve been a vegan for many years. So I have no choice but to read labels...

But I think that walking through the store being terrified of what’s in the food is not helpful, either. And ultimately, I believe that health is about more than just food.

I love a quote from Deepak Chopra that I came across years ago - to the effect of:

“It’s not as important what you are eating - as what’s eating you.”

Oh I am a label reader too! If there are way too many words I cannot pronounce, I put it back. Even shopping for something simple as yogurt is a chore! But I still have bad stuff :(

Actually, yogurt is easy--plain Greek lowfat with nothing added. You can do anything with it-eat it plain or with some fresh fruit, cook with it as a substitute for sour cream, or bake with it instead of oil or butter. But you still have to read the labels!
