Hi all! We have a 7-yr-old KitchenAid stainless steel refrigerator. I noticed what looked like a smudge or splatter. I gave it a firm rub and realized a thin plastic coating was peeling off. I can't remember if there was a blue plastic coating when we bought it. I find it hard to believe what I'm seeing now is a shipping coating, meant to be removed, that has somehow lasted 7 years. Google results tell me it's a finger-print resistant coating. If that is the case, and it's meant to stay on, does anyone have any suggestions for minimizing any further peeling?
