Pictures? Context is key as stained walnut can take on many appearances. B. Cherry floors as well due to light, exposure, etc., etc..

It is not installed yet. The cabinets are a dark brown colored stain with no red or orange in them.
The floors, being cherry, do have lots of orange tones. That’s why I am wondering if there is a light stain that might work with the 2 colors. Or any stain… I prefer not to go dark as my cabinets will already be dark.

Which surface are you referring to? It sounds like the cabinets are already a done deal, as are the floors, so what are you talking about staining? It's hard for me to imagine any type of walnut working with Brazilian Cherry floors. Please post pictures of a sample cabinet door and your floors. We need more context.

I have Brazilian cherry hardwoods in my living room which is adjacent to my kitchen. I need flooring in my kitchen. I am considering lacing the existing floor, and buying more of the same species to go in the kitchen. I assume I would have to try to sand and stain all of it the same to make it as seamless as possible.
However, knowing the orange-y shade of cherry, I am wondering if I even have an option that would go with dark brown stained cabinetry. There is zero hint of orange in the cabinets.
