Would be good to show us the windows post here in a comment DO NOT start another post.

The best thing to do with oddly shaped windows is to apply a film to them (unless they're newer and already have a coating), and maybe drapes. Can you show us a picture of what you're dealing with? Are you looking to control light or achieve privacy?

We are working with a contractor for an addition. These will be new windows, so I don't have a picture. Sorry. Just trying to find a solution for shades or blinds for those few days when the sun may be intensely shining in. Thank you!

I'd rethink using angled windows if you building new. They are difficult and expensive to cover. Plain rectangles, longer than wider are classic and the most versatile.

Hunter Douglas can make custom shades for irregular shaped windows.

Bali "Measuring Guide for Specialty Shapes Cellular and Pleated Fabrics" shows various window shapes for which Bali cellular blinds are available.

Where to buy.

IMO no angled windows is the best . I use solar shades on exicsting odd shaped windows that shades are custom then the plain windows I do with solar shades that can be rolled up on cloudy days.

hard to advise without a picture.

Sure, get custom made shades for oddly shaped windows, and pay a rather large price.
