Matching furniture to a wall color is a whole lot harder than matching paint to furiture

Repainting isn’t an option so that’s what I need to do. Appreciate your perspective, though.

@Beverly- I love the layout! You’d go dark with the cabinet?

I would start with a rug - larger than what is on the floor now - and sturdier looking - yours looks like it may slip a lot. You say the paint is "greige" but it certainly looks green and dark. Your slider is narrow so I would not have furniture focus on it. In Beverly's layout I would have the 3 chairs swivel and no tall cabinet on FP wall just my likes and opinions

Yep..... the room could use some contrast so dark for the cabinet and the coffee table.

But you can use a variety of different cabinets on the RH side of the FP. Coul;d be a bar cabinet, a bookshelf cabinet, a card catalog etc.

IMO if the room was a bit 'moody' with the green walls that would make it interesting.

@Beverly- I like the thought of a moody room. We are readers and think this space could reflect that side of us better

You might consider moving the TV over console to the right of the fireplace and then placing a chair where the current TV is. For a layout, you could look at a sofa facing the fireplace/TV and 2 chairs facing the sliders. Below are some images to aid you more with your dilemma:

Thank you! I do like the idea of the sofa and two chair placement. Will play around with the TV on that wall! It places the TV out of the sight line from the TV a bit. But your idea is creating some options that I hadn’t thought of!
