I should do that with my I Spy squares. I have so many (+still uncut fabric) and there are so many kids who need a lift. I always get overly complicated with sashing and cornerstones or make up happy blocks for my I spy quilts. (Keep it simple, stupid!)

The diagonal solids give your eyes a place to rest.

The squares are 6-1/2" unfinished. Brent's Place wants all of the quilts to be approximately 50 x 70, so that allowed me to be 48 x 66 then I added borders. Depending on where you donate - and what size squares you already have - you could make them smaller.

Thanks, Sue. That's perfect. I have two small totes (12x16x5) full of 6.5" squares (+ one of 5" and one smaller tote 1/2 full of 4", not to mention the 3 totes of I Spy fabric still uncut). I'll never use them up if I wait to use them on my friend's and family's grandchildren. So, the guild is having a sit and sew/work day this Saturday, and we're making up I Spy kits for members to take and make tops for Christmas presents for children in the Presbyterian children's home.

Good luck with the sew/work day. I'm also making purses for Sew Powerful to send to Zambia. I have 27 finished and they are addicting. I can do one in about an hour so you can see the results quicker!
