My favourite reading chair is a swivel rocker with an ottoman. I love to rock and daydream in between the actual reading. I a,so love to have my feet up - it's the only way to relax. I used to have a glider, which was like sitting in a swing, which had a high back. It was the ultimate in comfort, but was ugly as sin, and anyway its pretty much impossible to find a high back chair these days unless its a wingback. But definitely get something that rocks (in more ways than one!)

I love to have my feet planted somewhere...and I'm 5'2" so depending how high my 'seat' is and the anchor for my feet makes it or breaks it for me! So with that - lower, slightly reclining chair that I can sit cross legged while reading (and yes Karemore55 rocking ever so slightly)...or when not leaning back have my legs crossed in front, book or kindle in hand and still have my foot firmly planted on the ground....and ahhhhh yes, the hammock...back reclined, book (and these days I did acquiesce, the Kindle) swaying slowly to and fro...and my legs slightly bent, stretched out in front of me...but feet anchored in the net!

A chaise type lounger works for me.......totally comfortable and room for a pillow and a throw....need a table and lamp beside it. Not sure if this would work for your nook...might be too big.
