Belle Isle Sentry is very pretty. I like those dark ones. The rhododendron is also pretty.

I will have to enjoy your lovely rhododendron……growing them here is a major disappointment, they never look good up north.

I like Rhododendrons (more then Azaleas). I have very little shade and a high ph so they are out in my landscaping. I saw a species Rhodi at a nursery this year that was big and bold and orange with a wonderful fragrance. I spent a good 5 minutes trying to fit it somewhere at my house. Alas, even in springs enthusiasm I couldn't kid myself enough to buy it. Consider yourself lucky to be able to grow them so well.........Maryl

Like Maryl, I prefer Rhododendrons to azaleas, and I don't really have a lot of shade. Maryl, years ago I bought an orange azalea (I think it is azalea, smaller flowers). It is deciduous, and for some reason I planted it at the side/back of my house where I rarely see it. I am not fond of orange, but it sure is welcome in the early spring. Belle Isle Sentry is lovely, have I mentioned how much I love purples?

I tried azaleas years before I got the rodo, and they failed. This rodo took about 5 years to kick in, but has done well since.

So, Nancy, you like purples? Believe it or not, so do I !! LOL
