As I’ve mentioned here, DH has serious medical issues which precludes any air travel as well as visits to high elevation areas. So we are trying to make the best of it and make a bit of a road trip this summer within those limitations. I’m thinking we will leave TX and drive up through MS, stopping at a few charming small towns and making our way to the National Quilt Museum in Paducah, KY (I’m a quilter). From there, we're considering Bowling Green and/or Bardstown. Has anyone been to either or both of those towns? DH would like the civil war museum and train museum in Bardstown. I’ll like just exploring small town charms like shopping and eating. I’ve been reading TripAdvisor etc. but it’s hard to figure out if both towns are worthy of a visit and also how much time to spend in each. Feel free to add must-see towns that I didn't mention as well.
