For the niches, you could fill a lot of the them with the faux wood fills available on amazon, etsy. Then mix in pottery...like this room:

There are a lot of small pieces which is making it look busy. I would remove everything and decide which items you really want to display. You have some nice pottery pieces. IMO the pictures against the back are not helping. I would mix in some books with the pottery to break it up. There are too many items per shelf.

I think right now they are collecting a bunch of not so special stuff . Maybe making them less deep might help but for me I would just close them up put the TV wall hung on the right on a rticulating arm for viewing since the right side is largr that nthe left

Maybe add some good old fashioned books.

Remove everything from the shelves. Select about 7 items that all feel part of the same collection. (I circled some that seem to most related to each other.)

Place these 7-ish items on the shelves close to the front of the opening. Do mostly one per shelf, and a shelf or two with two on it. Leave the shelf under the TV empty.

Do not lean pictures on the back, find another home for the rest of these objects. It will look much more orderly and your nice pieces will really have a chance to be featured.

Remove everything from the mantle.

It looks like you need less stuff in each niche. Try making sure there is some space between items so they can breathe and things won't look too cluttered that way. Here are a few ways we have decorated niches and displayed items in clients homes.

For starters I'd get a larger TV screen and place it above the mantle.

I'd fabricate backs for the shelves to reduce the depth of each shelf by half.

You have way too many objects on each shelf. See example below. Some shelves have one item.

I have no idea how that brown mosaic tile relates to anything else in the room. Does it?
