Recessed Lighting Feedback

I'm trying to decide where to put recessed lights in my kitchen. I plan on buying wafer style 6 in and placing them about 5 ft apart. There will also be under cabinet lights on the wall cabinets.
The lights over the wall cabinets will be on a separate string from the lights over the island. The under cabinet lights wil be on their own switch. All dimmable. Light over sink will have its own switch. Dining room will have a chandelier.
What do you all think? Too many, too little, weird locations? Any input is appreciated.

Edit #1 - I put moved the island lights so they were more above the island and the lights by the window cabinets closer to the counter. The smaller lights are 4in, larger lights are 6 in. I also added two wall lights above the sink (white box) that will have a separate switch nearby.

I would delete one of your two posts, no need for two and the help you get will not all work off of each other due to this.

Sorry, I'm new to the site. I couldn't figure out how to delete the first one and I can't get to a computer at the moment to try there. I added the second post because I finally figured out I needed to use the app to add a picture + text. Ill try and delete the other.

I would put the lights over the workspaces. see poor markup for location. place over tge counters so it lights where you work.

@wsea Thanks! That makes sense. I added some edits. Do you think I need to add some lights for the bottom hallway (there is a coat closet down there), the back door, and next to the pantry or is this overkill? I added a light to the back door and near the closet in the edit, but not the pantry.

Better to have more light than not enough. Just switch them in separate groups and add dimmers to all the switches.

My issue is with the wafer lights. It should only be an option when you have no other options. Have you been in a room with them? Lots of glare. You won't get that glare if you install actual recessed lights.
