Sundays flowers in Indiana

The morning started out really wet, not rain, but just all the moisture from yesterday's rain. It was overcast so it was a good day for photos.

Several named varieties had ffo today.

Now for some seedlings. This one is Sonoran Desert Rose X (Small World Fire in the Hole X Stoke the Fire). This is a first year bloom.

Ultimate Design X Cherry Pie a la Mode--first time blooming

I really like this little diploid. I don't believe it is small enough to be in the small-flowered category.

Galaxy Explosion X Pixie Dragon

I posted a photo of this one the other day, but the flower is better today. I love the rich color of Indelible Blood X A Little Crabby.

This is our daughter's seedling. It is Cosmic Sensation X Absolute Ripper.

It was really wet here this morning. I have a ton of phlox seedlings that self seeded, the mildew has started…..I am dreading removing the huge seedlings but no choice, ugg.

I love I Dreamed a Dream and your first seedling from Sonoran Desert Rose.

I agree, love the color on Indelible Blood X A Little Crabby…..glad you posted another bloom.

It looks like it's going to rain but it hasn't. That meant I didn't get Sunday off in the garden and I'm pooped-lol........I like the seedling out of Sonoran Desert Rose. Looks to have orange in the base color.....I agree about that deep saturated red on you Indelible Blood seedling. Tempting if it is colorfast...........Maryl

All of the eyed and edged seedlings are looking good! The two with Ultimate Design in the parentage are my favorites. I do love red eyed daylilies! I like the look of Daddy's Heart, and I also like the name.

I like the Ultimate Design seedlings as well. Your daughter’s seedling looks good too. The Indelible Blood color continues to get better!

We didn't get any of the rain forecast. Hopefully, now Wednesday. First flowers are smallish. If the Change My Heart seedling is a good size and has good bud count, it looks like a winner.

Your seedlings win over the named varieties.
Lava Flow X (Philistine Champion X Small World Fire in the Hole) is my favorite of these, good color and design, very pretty. I also like Sonoran Desert Rose X (Small World Fire in the Hole X Stoke the Fire)..

I also like the bleeding eye on the second Ultimate Design seedling, but it looks like a smaller flower. The Sonoran Desert Rose seedling has good color.
