Looks more like blackspot or a nutrition issue to me. Old leaves often look like this too. I would bet just about all my roses have at least a few leaves like this at any given time, even my really healthy ones.

For what it’s worth, I have grown several roses with RMV (either came with my garden or from DA) and they grew fine for the decade I had that garden apart from the occasional speckled leaf.

oh..so, not black spot then? Oh dear, maybe a few more people can chime in for a consensus. Is there a specific nutritional deficiency that causes this kind of patterning? What about waterlogged roots? I sometimes worry the drainage isn't enough, although i did drill extra holes in the bottom.

My three roses from Heirloom, Apricot Candy, came leaf stripped. This was last year. When they began to leaf out two of them had slight marbling of just a few leaves, looking much like yours. They grew very well, got lots of size on them, and this year, they showed no signs of any yellow: marbling, stippling, splotching, whatever its called, at all and are blooming first flush right now very nicely.

Let's both hope mine continues to grow normally, and that yours does too, soon enough. Is it Rose Mosaic Virus? I cannot tell you either yes or no. My response to my symptomatic roses is just go with the flow and see what happens next. No worrying, it won't change anything.

Claims of disease free roses regarding any disease whatsoever rose nurseries make don't impress me much. They're all subject to go over to the dark side where truth is defined as "MY," truth....which may depart from the 'classic,' definition of truth.
