I had hoped for some evaluative comment. What are your favorites? I know that Kay does not like to criticize any plant, though I was surprised when you quickly expressed reservations about Birthday Wishes.

Actually, I usually find a new home for a daylily that I decide is not what I want one that is not blooming enough to deserve its space, or that I just don't enjoy anymore. I m fortunate that there are now several people that will take any daylily I can give them.

Okay Mantis, here are my results from growing the Reimer plants so far. the Madera Gold is probably my favorite bloom, but Firecracker Orange , Peach Preserves (which was a bonus), and Golden Delicious are the ones that have increased in the number of fans the fastest.

One thing I like about most of these plants generally is that the blooms are open in the early morning...Pattern A La Carte has not opened early morning in the two bloom it has produced so far; but it is not a long delay, just different.

Gemstone Red, Purple Sails, and Madera Gold have 6 fans each and I am satisfied with that increase although a greater increase would be nice. They all began with two fans. As I think I indicated, Pattern A La Carte and Purple Pathways are new this season and PP hasn't bloomed yet and may not bloom

Gemstone Red and Purple Sails, the two darkest ones have thrown a couple of blooms with a splotch but it has not been a common. flaw and might be snail damage. The one that I like the least is the Peach preserves, but it is a good bloomer, just not my favorite color.

I will probably get at least two more from his, and he does send bonus plants so look for more of them in future.

Strawberry Smoothie

Intersteller is new this year.The others are in their third year. I don’t count fans but all have multiplied well except Ethereal Lavender. Purple Sails and Flying Fox bloomed well last year-the others were victims of the red bug. Ethereal Lavender was beautiful but only had one scape. EL will be the only one to survive to bloom this year unless Flying Fox blooms late, I do love the flat large blooms and hope to see them next season
