Hi! Any thoughts on my initial thoughts?

Hi Flo, thank you. I really appreciate your thoughts. I can’t move my TV down and I really like the rug, I’ll get more photos of the space for picture and other wall decor you may recommend? Additionally, I’ll move the picture down? Do you recommend and larger picture?

I think if the sofa stays where you have it, the space would feel bigger with large art about 2/3 the length of the sofa. The wider and bolder art will help balance the other elements such as the cow(?) hide chairs. Something to think about. I do like the current art btw. Very interesting piece. Is there a wall behind where the chair sits? Might work there.

I would lower your art if you keep that art otherwise put the art to the right or that one cabinet is on the wall but I would hang art about 10 in 12 in at the most above the sofa and it would be nice if the top of the art is level with the lamps will this room have a rug? It's an interesting space you have in quite soothing for a dark room

Can you show me some examples of what you mean @happy

I see the room has a rug it's kind of gold with some black in it not too bad and I don't think the height ranges works the best in the spot but it's a nice feminine touch there and I think the fence should match the wall unless you don't mind them that way

    Please see the photos

I don't have photoshop on my phone flow might be able to show you but just lower your art down the light will shine on it it'll become a star of the room

Okay on lowering the picture ❤️ I’ll declutter the tv console

Do I add more picture to the wall? You mentioned a cabinet? I was thinking to put a mirror by the balcony door? full body?

Terrance, see if the current art piece will fit between your window and the balconey door. It might be tight but it might fit and would replace the small decorative wall pieces you have there. Then how about some 'dog' art for that large newly-blank wall? It looks like you might have a boxer - he's definitely a great-looking dog - and this art print on the Fine Art America site would bring light colors to that wall. I typed in 'boxer dog breed' but you can search for any subject on their site. I thought this one would be good for that dark wall - just don't get it too small. That wall can hold a larger piece in between the lamps.

Here's another idea to consider: it looks like there are silver canisters holding plants in the wall decor. Can the silver planters separate from the hexagonal pieces they're resting on? If yes, the three bigger ones would look nice on the left side of the shelf under your TV, and the small ones might even fit there as well. Keep the silver fan on the right and nothing more would be needed on the shelf. If the silver planters look too short set a couple of them on top of some books that have their pages turned to the wall with their spines showing out into the room.

Hey Jay! Thank you, that’s a good idea. I’ll consider that!

A full body mirror might be okay long as it doesn't scare your dog or put that in your hallway or bedroom unless you're going to use that mirror to go out the door unless you got like a mud room? I love that picture of your dog that would be really nice would you be thinking about putting that behind the couch and put that one that's currently behind the couch put that on that small wall that I call where the dog stuff is?

Hahaha, the dog is a dog that pet sit

As I looked for art for your sophisticated home your sofa appears to be more like the size of a condo sofa? Maybe 75-80” long? I am guessing but that might mean art size is really key. Also with your current layout, I felt you could use some texture. I found this piece and I would do it as large as space allows. I think your lights might swing so hoping that is true. But here’s my idea. If you are into DIY, you could make a piece similar to that one. I can guide you through it or you can research the techniques on YouTube. A large piece would really be great in this room.

Do you mean he's not your dog?

Then another larger piece of art would be great on that wall. Anything you'd like...

Yes that’s correct. Sorry- I was replying while driving. No he’s not my dog

Without sounding bossy do not text and drive can be very dangerous! Will wait we're here always

Not UR 🐾... lololol. He sure looked 'at home' on the sofa. 😂
