I wouldnt paint that house white. The white dove looks nice on the picture above, but, for your house, It wouldnt be all that great. I would paint it a light gray or blue gray. I like the idea of a charcoal roof. A new storm door would look very nice on it too. A bright color front door, and some nice landscaping would be a big improvement.

You want to find examples of houses similar to yours. The white looks great on that Dutch Colonial because there's a lot going on in that facade. Not so much for yours. If you do white siding with that white window trim, you'll have lost 95% of the detail on your house and it will be the same color, but probably plainer than your next door neighbor, making obvious comparisons that you'll lose.

Beige might look good

Beige is a bit boring, I think. I still think the gray blue is better.

I dont like the yellow door on this picture though. Not right with the house color.

I'm a big fan of blue and don't like beige, but that beige pic wasn't bad. Frankly, I think you'll be happy with pretty much any color, because a fresh coat of paint goes a long way and your house looks a little sorry right now.
