Trust me, in my garden I am used to seeing weird things!! My Siloam Double Classic always blooms single on the first couple of blooms. The height and bloom size on Before is interesting. Usually it goes in the other direction! Obviously Fernstone wanted nothing fancy to shine!

First few blooms on a lot of mine can be different. Abstract Orange came out double last year for 3 or 4 blooms and I hoped it might stay a double because it looked so good.....You know all plants seem to have their own individual likes and dislikes. Fernstone looks at home in the hostas and other plants. I say good for you. It ought to look great when the colorful blooms are added to the mix.......Maryl

My Siloam Double Classic always blooms single at first - this year for over a week. I prefer the stats you're getting on Before. I'd never buy a daylily with a 16-inch scape. I'm glad Fern Stone decided to shape up for you! Fern figured she better put out - no matter how place the place - or she was a gonner.

Very mixed bag here. Above-normal temps have definitely taken a toll on plants (now cool). Bud count on many things looks anemic. If extreme heat settles in, the season could turn towards disaster.
