Patio Furniture Layout

Hello,

We just purchased some new furniture to our patio and wanted some opinions on the current layout and perhaps some alternative layouts. I'm especially trying to best utilize a new 9'x11.5' cantilever umbrella, which is currently placed in the middle of the patio and able to rotate 360 degrees to be able to shade both our living area (couch, chaise lounge, etc.) and dining area. From a functionality perspective, we like the current placement since it is able to shade both areas. But in a perfect world wouldn't chose to have our living area furniture so close together from an aesthetic perspective. And we aren't real thrilled to have the umbrella right in the middle of the of the patio. For reference, the photos include ones both with the umbrella over the living area and the dining area. Any opinions on the current layout or perhaps any alternative layouts would be appreciated. Thanks!

If the wall is seat height, switching dining and seating areas (as AiFL suggested) makes sense, because the wall can be extra seating if/when you have a crowd.

I might move the seating to the stone walled corner and the dining to where the seating was. With 8 chairs around that table it looks a little squished near the walls. And the umbrella in the middle seems like the most sensible place since it can swing to cover which ever of the two areas needs it the most

I'd put the couch with its back to the house, then pull the umbrella back towards the house where it could cover each area in turn without being in the middle of the patio. If you can do that without blocking the door.

Maybe something like this? (Scale is guessed.) Online I see umbrella bases that are also planters, but they're smaller than your large umbrella would need. That would be attractive if you can find or make one.
