Hi friends and thanks for thinking of me! I still read the threads from time to time but just don't have much energy for active participation these days. All is well, just incredibly busy.

We bought some more land out in New Mexico a couple of months ago and have been thinking of building a future home there instead of on the mountain (we are holding our land there as an investment for now.) This new acreage is in the high desert near a state park and sits on the back side of the Sacramento Mountains, so the views are lovely. I'm dreaming of an adobe style, or perhaps a traditional New Mexican territorial -- something slightly sprawling with a large portal where we can sit and just soak up the peacefulness of the outdoors.

I started a new job in March that has kept me busy beyond my expectations. It's been challenging but I suppose that's a good thing as it keeps my old brain engaged and continually learning.

Still wrangling cats and helping our elderly loved ones. Life goes on. ❤️

Over the years she has taken breaks from time to time - real breaks, not the fake ones like I do where I am gone for like a day and a half ;-) Hopefully that's all it is and she's just recharging.

Ida C, a friend of mine who you might enjoy fled Phoenix several years ago to live in Quemado. Her interests include sharing trailcam photos, lots of hiking, music (husband plays with the Rockin’ Blue Geckos).
