Slide-in range replacement - depth question

My current range is a slide-in and seems to be on it's last leg. I'm hoping someone could give me some advice about replacing it. Between the depth of the oven and the granite behind it, it doesn't seem like it's going to be able to support a wide variety of options.

From the back of the counter to the front, not including the backsplash is only 24".

I want to replace it with induction. Specifically I'm interested in the Bosch Benchmark or the Cafe Double Oven. Both are slightly less than 26" from front to back not including the handles. The Cafe sits at 29-1/2 in overall, and the Bosch is 28 7/8 in. In short, they're both significantly longer than what we have now.

My question is, does that mean I need to modify the countertop to remove the granite behind it? Or do I just need to be looking for other smaller options? Thanks for any advice you can give.

IMO it would be helpful to remove the little strip of counter at the back. I think the 4" backsplash is ok. But both models you are considering have the fan vents at the back of the unit, so look carefully at the specs/drawings.

I don't think there are many slide-ins in this older style/size (where you would have the strip of counter across the back).

Fisher Paykel makes a slide in range that will fit but it’s $5000. LG has a highly rated range that fits if you remove the backsplash for significantly less - LSIL6336F - for $2500. Frigidaire has a unit for $1500 too. Not positive what your width of your space is though.

That small piece of counter at the back should have little seams at the side, where you can heat up with a torch and release the epoxy holding them together.

Thanks @rebasheba! Are you saying that you think I should look for a model that doesn't have a back fan vent? They seem like they're pretty standard. And also thank you to @Minardi, that's a very helpful tip.

@cvdpnw the current oven is a 30". the Fisher Paykel does seem like a good option size wise. I don't mind paying more if it means better quality and durability, though I know that's not always the case.
Is there a reason that you suggest the LG over the Bosch or the Cafe? It seems similarly sized from what I can tell.

No, the vent is fine, just that you need to consider the back vent with regard to the granite 4" riser going across the back. I don't think it will be a problem but look closely at the measurements or at product photos to see how the range will fit against this piece, you may not be able to push it all the way back to the wall itself.

LG induction ranges ship with a rear filler that can be attached to the back of the range. Since your countertop bridges the gap between the cabinets on either side as shown in your third photo, you would not use the rear filler. You'd push the range back against the countertop bridge. The vent at the rear of the range would be forward of the bridge (i.e., between the glass cooktop and the bridge).
