Landscape Design Hydrangeas Garden Clinic

I have an 8x8 bed wrapping my porch, I beginner at gardening and planted 4 x little lime punch panicle hydrangeas across the front and side. I am wondering if I should increase the size of the garden bed or leave as is with a clean simple look?

I would love some suggestions of 1-2 more low maintenance companion plants for the main front lawn garden bed(And 1 container plants I can put between the steps and the driveway!

How wide is the bed holding the hydrangeas? Please measure it. Thanks! Also I believe you're in the northeast?

A sort of duplicate post. The cross postings are different.

The raised bed is much too small. My window boxes are about that size, and the only thing I put in them is impatiens. I'd get rid of the walls, and plant the hydrangeas in the ground with proper spacing. That is going to be about 5 feet apart. I'd consider replacing one or more with an evergreen. I do not think hydrangeas are attractive during the winter, and you should have something to look at for the half of the year the hydrangeas are twigs.

Your planting space is way too narrow for those hydrangeas. Increase the width by 3x.
