I suggest you get your art up first. Drapery might be distracting. Your furnishings are cozy minimalist so drapery might not fit that aesthetic.

In any case, drapery is best kept at what the eye sees from floor even with high ceilings. So wait on drapery.

It really depends on the vibe you want in this room, there is so much that you can do. If you want it to feel a bit more relaxed, the white linen curtains on both windows on a thin black rail would look amazing, but go for much longer curtains than the standard, and attach the rail about 25cm/10inches above the actual window. The white curtains will add softness, but not draw the eye to that area as it blends with the wall. The brown ones definitely will.

If it is a sleek minimalist look you would like, tall, flat pelmets in a white or pale grey gloss would really finish the windows off nicely.

The artwork can absolutely be out of line with the windows, as it will be the main focus of that area. Either one large one, or a few smaller (but large) artworks that cluster into the shape of a portrait rectangle would be great.
