You're not going to see much of the pattern and you already have a lot of patterns around. What is the purpose of wanting wallpaper? For a change?

Have you thought of a painted accent color instead? This is a toughy to go with those chairs and rug.

Maybe the chair pattern and color but in wallpaper like paisley or toile. Or something very plain and understated.

The chairs can go, I don’t care for them much. I have always loved wallpaper and yes, I’d like a change. I have always admired an English look, cozy, feminine more traditional I guess.

You have more options without taking into account the print on the chairs, but not much wall space to really see a wallpaper design. The rug pattern also reads as active in the photos. My own choice would be to use paint with a darker shade of the same hue below and lighter above, with that great vase in the window as inspiration.

Are you on Instagram? There can be so much inspiration to be found there. I follow quite a few English accounts (and magazines, such as Homes and Gardens), as well as designers from all over who favor more traditional styles. I’d save any that appeal, and the IG algorithm will notice … you’ll start seeing more and more of what you like.

I think wallpaper would look wonderful in there, especially the designs (toile, etc) you like, which aren’t large scale or graphic patterns.

Would you prefer finding wallpaper first, then chairs? Or vice versa?

I see a lot of nice grays and taupes and neutrals in your home..very nice. The gray hutch seems crowded...if it's not a corner piece, place it against the wall and remove the decor on top and from the floor around it so we can see it and the wood panelling. That would give it a little more open, refined feeling.

What about a wallpaper print in your grays? That would be nice. The rug is nice...a Persian is always a classic with wallpaper.

Your artwork will go with anything. For the dining chairs, slipcovers in a solid pale neutral fabric would be fantastic.

I was thinking maybe something like this. I do switch out my art seasonally.

I think k the chairs have got to go! Or as someone suggested a neutral slip cover is a great idea!

I’m in awe of the character of your home and the incredible outdoor vista. I wouldn’t want wallpaper to distract from that view. I like lisaam’s suggestion to paint instead, using that beautiful blue vase as inspiration.
