Need Help! Trying to create a cohesive look in master bath

Aloha,

Building a masterbedroom and bathroom extension. I need help choosing shower tile as well as cabinet color and vanity top.

The inspiration is japandi ( Japan and Scandinavian) design elements.

Our shower is 5'x6' with a bench along the 6ft wall, the vanity is 9'.

We just ordered an Aquatica White Onsen Tub with Chrome tub filler.

The bathroom floor tile will be large format porcelain tile that resembles black slate, the shower tile will be black river rock mosaic.

The sink and shower hardware will be black.

My husband likes wood tile look in the shower ( vertical). My hesitation is will a 5'x6' shower with all wood tile be too much to look at? and also, I would like to keep the bathroom as timeless as possible. Is the wood tile look trendy or here to stay?

With that being said, how do I go about choosing the cabinets? should I try to match the wood tile? or will it matter?

lastly,

my vanity top options are Cambria Ella ( very light grey and white with grey streaks)

and Crowndale ( mossy green, grey, beige swirls)

*** This is my 3rd time trying to post this. I'm gonna post with no pictures and see if I can upload them after.

mahalo for your time and consideration

xo, Dana
