Why camouflage door… would you do that to a pantry door? The issue is really the entrance opening directly into kitchen (especially for guests). With it being on a corner, is it possible to move entrance to the adjoining side wall, without much expense, given you are in the midst of renovation? What room would the doorway now be in…hopefully hall.

When you come back bring pics a to scale floor plan show all windows , doorways where those lead and done on graph paper posted here in jpeg format in comments DO NOT start another post . Make sure to show the plumbing for the toliet since moving that can be sometimes very diffcult and expensive.
