Draw a floor plan with all the dimensions and mark where the windows and doors are located. That will be helpful for furniture sizes.

the distance from The entrance to the kitchen to the back wall is 10 ft. on the other side (where the small window is) it is 8ft to the back wall from the start of the window. see below for more

I think it might be nice to have the tv across from the opening in the kitchen so you can watch while eating. I would put a sofa under the opening with the tv across from it. I would get two bean bag chairs for the other end of the room that the kids could pull over to watch tv. The other end of the room could be the "play" area.

Is the TV mounted on an articulating arm? If so then you can bring the TV off the wall and turn it as you please so two sofas facing one another can easily work depending on how many people are trying to watch TV at once. You could also look at doing a very small sectional, with chairs, ottomans, and/or bean bags if that will suit your purposes.
