I much prefer a aimple 12 x24 porcealin tile for both floors and shower walls not a big fan of hex. I think boring is good in small spaces it keeps things simple and allows for change in wall color m accessories towels all without more than a day trip for shopping.

Don't count on the fact that the rest of the floor tiles won't have the variations. It'll be easier for you to select a solid tile for the walls than another with shade variations. It get harder to make both work together.

The best way to match tile is to use the same tile in different sizes/shapes in different parts of the room. Anytime you try to coordinate it gets trickier. Sometimes the fact that two things are close, but a miss isn't apparent until after installation. Subtle undertones can come into play. Whatever you do, look at your choices in the room they will be used in, under the lighting conditions that will be present.

I totally agree with Kendrew. For most of us here, we don’t have the eye or expertise to mix and match tiles from different brands and collections.
