The size you show is appropriate for bedside but you'd need a much larger one that goes partly under the bed and exceed on both sides if you want it at the end of the bed, something like this:

I would pick a color from the comforter and get a solid with a texture. I would go with a blue if this were my room.

Mixing patterns seems overwhelming sometimes, but you chose well— I would definitely go with the rug you chose in a larger size, the pattern in the rug does not distract or compete with the comforter, but pulls the room together. Beautiful space!!

Beverly nailed it. The one you chose looks dingy. Picking a geometric and a less muddy color makes the comforter look much fresher.

Those 2 black cushions are doing nothing to complent your beautiful conforter. I’d go with something to pick up the coral or what ever colour stands out best in a new rug. I love some of the more vibrant ones that Bev suggested.

My first instinct is a striped rug. I like the first one that Beverly posted - blue and white stripe.

I personally prefer a solid color rug with such a distinct comforter - let one piece stand for itself.
