Do or don't? - clipped ceiling against window

So my master bedroom has a gable ceiling that creates walls about 10ft on the east side and 12ft high on the west side. The windows in the room reside on the north side and go to the very top. The beam on the some what center runs south to north across the ceiling. My dilemma is that I don't have any ceiling lights, insulation, and no fan and I'd like to add all 3. My current thought process is to add rafters on either side of the beam that run east to west and attach to the beam and the east / west walls. From there, that'll create the depth I need to run electrical, insulation, lights and a fan. The dilemma I have is that the windows go all the way up past the beam. I'm thinking I can angle the ceiling downward from the window (north) towards the rafters (south) approximately 6 to 12 inches in distance so essentially it would let light in and not really cut it off except visually. Any thoughts on for or against and why? Other thoughts?

Pull down the Sheetrock. Install wiring and insulation in the space between the roof deck and the existing drywall. Replace drywall.

Yep. Adding more beams on the ceiling is not the answer .BTW when posting a question show thwhole space . I do not understand why there is no insulation so maybe explain that . Answer any thing else to do with this issue here in caooments DO NOT start another post

Your solution is a kluge and not likely to be much cheaper than just fixing the ceiling.

@hallet & Co - the sheetrock is asbestos and I was hoping to avoid that as its an endeavor on its own. Additionally the insulation, if present @patricia Colwell is likely to be minimal as the existing rafters are 2x4 and the roof is skip sheathing and i'm not sure that there will be any breathability there (unsure of that part). So i was hoping to avoid drilling or notching the rafters to run wire between them and instead just drop the ceiling to create more space. @sigrid - fix the ceiling, how do you mean?

I don't see how you can get where you want to go without replacing the windows with shorter ones.
