Yup - code. Separate circuits for appliances.

My fridge and freezer required only 15 amps. Induction 40. Each wall oven 30, steam oven 25 (I think) and all the others are 15 (island popups and plugmold)

Just an FYI that some induction cooktops/ranges require 50 amps, mine does.

Don't be like us. One circuit for toaster + coffee maker means we constantly were having to flip the breaker... until last week when we spent the $$ to get it fixed. :P

The NEC requires kitchens to have at least two separate 20amp circuits for all wall and countertop receptacles, not 15 amp.
The rule also includes dining rooms, breakfast rooms, and pantries.
