Take photos of each step and of the products used. Do you know what is under the OSB wood layer or have photos of earlier steps? Check your contract for the line items about waterproofing and the products to be used.

As far as the tile selection, what's your counter material? Have you taken a blue cabinet door and a piece of your counter to a tile shop? Your floor, shower floor and shower walls all need to go with the counter material for the vanities so nothing is selected in isolation. Your curb will most likely be your counter material too.

WOW obvious you are not good at this The tile shoulfd have been done before adding cabinets for sure . Looks like drywall in the shower so no to that . Get a pro in there right now before you really have a big mess. As for the tile I like 12 x24 for both bathroom floors and shower walls and the same tile only smaller for the shower floor . IMO the fewer different things in a bathroom the better for antyhing hard to change . Get that shower waterproffed NOW by someone who can do it right.

Looks like the vanities are not set yet so that's not a big issue but yes get backer board and waterproofing like red guard on the shower first. I think you are just starting and want tile ideas. I would look for a midtone tile darker than your cabinets for the floor then go light on shower walls maybe bright white with navy accents. it will be tricky to find the right blue or teal to coordinate with those vanities but greys or taupe would be good neutrals to try. look for matte tiles rated for slip resistance for the floor and shower pan then smooth easy to clean tiles for the wall. With some tiles you can get tiles in same color but different sizes ,shapes and finish. finding one with matching bullnose is good for edging the shower.

also think about how the countertops will work with floors. look for something for the floor that matches the veins in the countertops. The shower accents should be in the same color family as those vanities but don't have be exact match when separated by flooring. These photos show some that might work with your vanities.

Why is the shower drywall, and primed? Where is the shower pan? This is looking like a complete do over at this point. Nothing appears to be started properly.

The sealed deal on a tearout and redo before it really gets started is that stacked lumber for a curb. The contractor is clueless. Fire him now, or regret it with tens of thousands in water damage.

PS, those installed cabinets need to be UNinstalled. That's another cherry on top of the $2.98 cluelessness.

You’d think an actual ”pro” would have understood the importance of hiring an actual vetted pro.

Along with what everyone else said, I would question the outlet placements as well ( or lack there of in some places ) .

Stop this now and ask your installer a ton of questions and find out how he intends to fix this.

I’m sure that you are overwhelmed by all of the comments. However, it’s much better to receive advice/comments now vs. later after more work has been finished (or not receive them at all - and have your shower fail).

I had a highly recommended contractor who messed up - and I had to redo my shower (it wasn’t completed - but quite a bit of work had been finished) + rip out my floor tile (outside of shower). I wish I would have known more before - rather than after- the work had been done.

Right now, things can be addressed for less $$ than if your shower was further along.

Ask your contractor exactly how the entire shower has been built + how it will be waterproofed. Come back here and let everyone know what his answers are!

I'd go for patterned tile on both the main bath and shower floor, then something neutral for the shower walls.

There is nothing more timeless than 12" white marble tile for the shower. Beautiful. Have them tile the outside of the half wall.

Shower floor white or gray marble mosaic.

For the bathroom floor, a 12x24 matte porcelain tile in a medium gray that complements the cabs and marble.

White tiles or a white marble is alwasy a classic design choice. What sort of person are you? Do like something with a little more punch to it or are you very conservative in your design? I am not a fan of marble in the bathroom - it is stunning , yes, but I have had too many customers complain so I lean away. A large format tile in the shower would be great. I think you could do a nice gray on the floor and it will still keep the space light feeling.
